Governor's Ball Music Festival is a 3-day festival held off the coast of Manhattan on Randall's Island (previously held on Governor's Island until 2012). The festival includes musicians ranging from rap and hip-hop to shoegaze, folk and indie electronic.
Governor's Ball 2015 is scheduled for June 5–7, 2015 and will be headlined by Drake, Deadmau5, The Black
Keys, Florence & the Machine, Lana Del Rey, Björk, and My Morning Jacket. The full lineup can be viewed here
The 2013 Governor's Ball coincided with a torrential downpour, creating the popular hashtag #mudball.
